Having grown up with horses, Canterwood’s Owner and Head Trainer, Emily Fuller, has over 10 years of experience teaching dressage and hunter/jumper riders.
Emily began her career as a working student with a show barn on the West Coast. Later, she managed a training and boarding facility in Michigan and quickly developed a reputation for successfully coaching children and young adults.
Emily believes strongly that the pursuit of any equine discipline and the solution to many training problems lies in the basics: balance, rhythm, relaxation, suppleness, contact and connection. She excels in dressage and regularly hosts clinics featuring Susanne Benne, an international FEI instructor and Master clinician.
A versatile rider, she has also gained respect for her ability to start horses under saddle and re-train problem horses.
Competitively, Emily travels with her students to both Michigan Dressage Association (MDA) and MHJA circuit shows.
